IMPORTANT NOTE: There must be a primary Fire-Alarm system that works independ-

ently from HNB-A,B,C A/V system. The ‘Emergency Audio Off’ (EAO-1) input provided

in HNB-A can only serve as a supplemental benefit to other primary emergency com-

munication systems by ‘MUTING’ all HNB audio sources during an emergency event

(EAO-1 closure is activated). UL does not recognize or list HNB as a primary Fire or

Alarm system. EAO-1 emergency input is not supervised or monitored. As such, HNB-

A can only be utilized as an enhancement to other primary emergency communication

systems such as: Fire and Alarm, Security, EPA, EVAC, Intercom/Paging, Mass

Notification. In all cases HNB installation must adhere to NEC and local building codes

as determined by the Authority having Jurisdiction (‘AHJ’).
